Rucksack packing tips – Become a Packing Pro!

Beavers, packing your rucksack can be an adventure in itself! Here are some top tips to help you become a packing pro:

  • Heavy at the Bottom: Put the heaviest things, like water bottles and books, at the bottom so your back stays happy.
  • Roll, Don’t Fold: Rolling your clothes saves space and helps stop them from getting too wrinkly.
  • Easy Access: Keep things you might need quickly, like snacks or a waterproof coat, in an easy-to-reach pocket.
  • Check the Kit List: Double-check your kit list to make sure you haven’t forgotten anything important!
  • Ask for Help: If you’re not sure, ask a grown-up or a leader for help. We’re always happy to lend a hand!
  • Label your gear! Please label all clothing, bags, and equipment with your young person’s name. This helps us avoid any mix-ups and ensures that everything finds its way back to its rightful owner. Thank you for your help!

We hope these kit lists help you get ready for all our Beaver adventures! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask the Leadership Team. We’re always here to help. Happy adventuring!
