As we approach the end of the year, it’s wonderful to look back at everything our Beavers have achieved over the last few months. It has been a truly action-packed term, and the leaders couldn’t be prouder of the enthusiasm and kindness the Colony has shown.
We’ve had some real standout moments, including:
- Out-of-this-World Adventures: Our Space-themed sleepover was a massive success. Seeing the Beavers in their handmade astronaut suits and helmets was a highlight, and a huge thank you to the Explorer Scouts for helping us launch into orbit!
- Community Spirit: We took to Memorial Park for a local litter pick, uncovering some “weird and wacky” rubbish and making a real difference to our local environment.
- Honour and Respect: The Colony showed incredible maturity representing 1st Herne Bay at the Remembrance Service and Parade. We received lovely compliments from the public on their conduct.
- Celebrations: Our campfire was the perfect way to celebrate, complete with toasted marshmallows, songs, and the presentation of two Chief Scout’s Bronze Awards – the highest honour a Beaver can achieve! Our Christmas party at the end-of-term sent everyone off in festive spirits!
Looking Ahead to the New Year While we’re taking a well-earned break over the festive period, we’re already busy planning for next term. We have some brilliant new challenges on the horizon, more badges to earn, and plenty of outdoor adventures to look forward to as the days start to get longer.
Don’t miss a thing! We’ve already updated the Events Planner with all the key dates for the upcoming term. Please head over there to see when we’re back and to get those important dates into your diaries.
Thank you to all the parents and volunteers who make our sessions possible. We hope you have a fantastic Christmas and a Happy New Year.
See you in January!
