What an out-of-this-world weekend! Assisted by our amazing Explorer Scouts, Beavers went on a cosmic journey with our stellar sleepover activities and games.

We made astronaut suits and helmets, completed astronaut training and blasted off on a galactic treasure hunt. We launched rockets, created flying saucers, and decorated alien cupcakes. The Beavers made glittery salt dough and experimented with kinetic moon sand.

Beavers skills were tested with games like alien bowling and asteroid toss, and we had tons of fun playing Stars Vs Planets.

After dinner we set up tents and watched some videos of what life is like on the International Space Station. Beavers did some indoor stargazing with our clever constellation cups, before settling down for some sleep.

It was an early start but an excited one – especially for one of the Beavers whose birthday it was!! Striking tents and packing up was the first order for our slightly tired astronauts before a big breakfast.

Games and a log chew to discuss what went well took us to home time, parents and carers collected their little space travellers along with a big bag of crafts and their special sleepover badge.

An absolutely MASSIVE thank you to the team for all their hard work planning this celestial extravaganza, it was absolutely brilliant. Thanks to our Explorer Scouts for joining in and helping out, you were fantastic.

And thank you Beavers for joining in and challenging yourselves – you make our Colony the absolute best place to be!
